5 Instagram-Worthy Cafes and Coffee Shops in NYC

1. Woops!

located at 548 Driggs Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211

This is my favorite coffee shop in Williamsburg, mostly because there’s really no way to get a bad photo here. Woops! in Williamsburg is filled with quaint black and white patterned tables of all different styles of mosaics. Most offerings are geared towards the sweet tooth; you can order macarons or select from an array of classic pastries. Lattes and matcha lattes are available here, and the hot chocolate is pretty yummy, too. Lots of people work on their laptops here.

2. Blank Slate Tea

located at 121 Madison Ave #3, New York, NY 10016

The sister restaurant of Blank Slate, Blank Slate Tea is a perfectly pink cafe with rose tea lattes, matcha yogurt bowls, avocado toast, waffles, and yummy breakfast pastries and snacks. I’m a big fan of their rose latte (I love rose anything) and also their matcha latte. With fresh flowers on every table and plush pink cushions reminiscent of Sketch in London, Blank Slate Tea is a pink oasis in the midst of Murray Hill.

3. Sweet Moment NYC

located at 106 Mott St, New York, NY 10013

Based near Chinatown, Sweet Moment takes latte art very seriously. Their cold lattes are perfect for ‘gramming because of their cool temperature – no bubbles means no time limit for snagging the perfect shot. The shop also offers a slew of Insta-worthy dessert options, including a towering shaved ice and a variety of waffles, macarons, and pastries.

4. Saltwater Coffee

located at 345 E 12th St, New York, NY 10003

What’s more gram-worthy than coffee in an unusual color? Saltwater Coffee in the East Village features coffee in all colors, from lavender to black. I tried their charcoal vanilla chai latte and really enjoyed it. I want to go back and try the lavender lattes! This spot also serves cute donuts from Underwest Donuts and the typical breakfast cafe fare (croissants, cookies, etc.).

5. Bluestone Lane

several locations throughout the city

Popular for their coffee, Bluestone Lane boasts several outposts all over the city; I’ve been a patron since they opened their very first Collective Cafe in the West Village back in 2014. Their latte offerings include cute pink beet lattes and yellow turmeric lattes, as well as the classic coffee and matcha offerings. A reliable go-to for coffee, Bluestone Lane is very Insta-worthy, to boot.

Have you been to any of these spots? What’s your go-to coffee shop?
